How to install Numea Home.

About 30 minutes. The heat pump has an outdoor sensor, a small box on an outside wall. You cut the thin cable to it and connect both ends to the controller. A guide on your phone takes you through each step.

The cable is thin and low-voltage, unlike the pump’s mains supply. Nothing changes inside the heat pump.

The controller lies on top of a heat pump. Behind it the pipes rise from the pump, with two shut-off valves.

On your phone

Place the controller by the heat pump and plug it in. It makes its own Wi-Fi network. Connect your phone, scan the QR code on the printed guide and follow the steps.

No app, no account, no internet.

The guide on your phone is in English. The printed guide is in Swedish.

At the heat pump

Stop the heat pump on its own panel, then switch off its power. Follow the thin cable from the outdoor sensor back to the pump. It is about 5 mm across, like a phone charger lead.

The outdoor sensor is usually in the shade. The cable runs from there to the pump.

Cut and connect

Cut the cable close to the pump with the wire cutters in the box, and bare about 8 mm of each wire. The end from the outdoor sensor goes to the connector marked OUTDOOR SENSOR, the end from the pump to HEAT PUMP. Then switch the heat pump back on.

The guide checks the wiring before anything is saved. If something is wrong, it shows what to put right.

More than two wires in the cable? The guide then shows which belong together. It uses the identify cable, which comes plugged into the controller.

In the room

Wake the thermostat: hold the middle button until the screen lights up. Put it in a room in the middle of the house, at about the height of a light switch. Away from windows, sun and radiators.

The thermostat and the controller arrive already paired.

Unplug the controller, and the pump heats as before, straight away.

To remove it completely, join the sensor cable again with the connector from the identify cable.
